Adding DTC/EDLC?

I tried looking elsewhere for this info, but couldn't find anything.

From what I understand, the DTC/EDLC uses the ability of the standard DSC (controlling wheels via computer-initiated braking). Would it then be possible to add DTC to a car after purchase by adding some programming? Or is it more than just that?

The reason I'm curious is that I'd rather get a car off the lot that already has most of what I'd want, so I can take advantage of the outrageous apr financing. If I order, I'm not sure I'll be able to lock in this rate. It's still doable, but a bit of a nuissance when I have most of what I want right here.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have a tentative answer: no one knows.

Or...*sniffle*...no one cares.

Seriously, though, I now realize that although this was a good question *pats self on back*, it's best that I moved on. Truth be told, I'm not a car connoisseur or performance driver, so I'm not sure I'd even notice a difference in my MINI.

It might be different for you, but that's my $0.02. Good luck either way!

Hey Sartorius !
So it seems It's just you and me behind this thread....
I need to cure the spinning of the outside wheel when spirited driving on tight corners. Going for a mechanical LSD is an obvious route- but rather expensive. I thought that the EDLC that comes with the DTC, being an electronic feature, could have been both relatively cheap (it's an $250 option when added by the factory) and easy to install.
Local dealership (down here in Santiago- CHILE), is clueless as expected.
