My car is due into Charleston on Friday, May 15th. Does anyone have experience with the Carolina VDC? How long did it take your car to go through and get on a truck to your dealer??? I REALLY want it by the end of the month!!

 

They got my car through in 3 or 4 days, and they had to install stripes. I know some of the other people on the same boat got through in less time. I think you're pretty safe for getting it by the end of the Month.

 

Mine got from Charleston to Chicago in about a week. Time at the VDC, I don't know. Worth the wait, in any case

 

Thanks for the encouraging words!!! I have waited YEARS to finally get my MINI... literally The last few weeks since I ordered have seemed like an eternity!

I just heard from my MA. She said that the car is still at the port????? It was unloaded on Friday. She is estimating delivery to the dealer on the 27th and delivery by the 29th or 30th. I don't know... I am hoping that she is going by the mini system that seems to always lag behind a couple days. Kind of disappointing.....

may be but look at the bright side it's almost in your hands.
mine should be completed wednesday then I got to catch the boat... I seem to feel better when I see someone that is a little behind me, make me feel sooo much closer

 

Thank you Atomic S! You are right... I was reading the week 11 thread when I first ordered. It made me feel better to read about all of them finally taking delivery when mine was still in England.

Next Friday isn't that long

 

My first to 16 days to get to the dealer after leaving Charleston and the second took 4 days.
