Paradise pads question
Paradise pads question
I bought the PC and the pad combo (one each of the yellow, orange, white, and black), as well as the polish combo (Cut, Swirl, Finish, and Amigo). I used the white pad with Amigo to freshen up my MINI just before AMVIV (WOW by the way...).
Now I need to work on my wife's 2003 dark green Dodge Caravan (I mention the details in the event anyone is familiar with the hardness of the paint). It was Ziebart'ed when we bought it (if you're familiar with that) and was basically ignored since, although I'm surprised at how good shape it's in. I've Epic'ed it at least once in the last year and Hydro frequently. Beading has stopped so I need to fix my past transgressions before the heat of Vegas kits in.
Now for the question. I figure it needs Swirl followed by Finish at a minimum before I re-wax. I assume that the orange pad would be best for Swirl and white for Finish? Since I already used my white pad for Amigo, is it important to use a different white pad for Finish? Hope for a quick answer cuz if I need to order another pad I need to do it soon as my plan was to do this next weekend.
Thanks!

There is no set formula - you always want to use the least abrasive pad, with the least abrasive polish to get the job done. If in doubt, err on the side of caution, you can always get more aggressive if you need.
Most pads can be washed and dried ready to use with different product.

I'd say your best bet would be swirl with the white pad. That's IME the middle of the road combo. The orange pad with swirl is relatively aggressive and unless you have a lot of micromarring probably isn't necessary. Finish is very light and I really haven't used it that much (mostly touch up on the a-pillers and on my stripes).
