R57 '09 Factory AERO KIT
'09 Factory AERO KIT
Just picked up my Horizon Blue R57 - absolutely love this car! Although I ordered it with aero kit, my dealer dropped the ball. Now understand the factory has a new kit for '09 (just released). Primary change the wheel arches are painted body color....
Anyone else looking at this option?
I'll use my local shop here, BRR Racing for the work.

So by Aero kit, you're referring to the updated 2009 Mini Aero Kit, and not the JCW Aero Kit I or JCW Aero Kit II, right?
I don't think anyone has ordered one yet, or has indicated as such on our R57 message board.
However, someone did post a picture of a 2009 JCW Hard Top with that exact Factory Mini Aero Kit. You can see the picture here:

When I placed the order for my R57, I looked at that Aero Kit first, but then I saw the JCW Aero Kit II with the break duct kit, and I decided on that one. Plus I wanted the CF Diffuser which only fits the JCW Aero Kit I or II.
So, what are you ordering now, the Mini Aero Kit or the JCW Aero Kit II with the Brake Duct Kit?

Depending on when you contact your parts department, they can ordered a pre-painted JCW Aero Kit II, however they are on limited supply, so you may end up waiting a long time before it arrives. That's what I was hoping for for my Interchange Yellow R57, however MiniUSA told my dealer it was backordered for 4 weeks, so I went with the primed version and had my dealer paint it at the local BMW Body Shop.
It looks JUST like the picture on the website if you build a car with the Aero Kit (not JCW).
Now the question is 'Dude, where's my car?!'

Would have got the JCW kit if the old factory kit was still there.
