2009 EURO AUTO FESTIVAL

OCTOBER 16, 17 & 18, Marque is 150 years of British. 100 years Morgan, 50 years of MINI. Record for most cars in Marque is about 106 MGs. I sure with all the MINI clubs in the south we could break that record. Go to EUROAUTOFESTIVAL.COM for information and registration. I don t think its open yet, but infor is available about car show. Last several years there have been over 500 entries. MINI people plan on this one if you have never done a show before and you will see European cars that you have never heard of. Great way to spend a saturday afternoon. GO to EuroAutoFestival/Registration.com and down load form and mail it in. NOTICE ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THE REGISTRATION FORM - IF YOU NEED ONE CONTACT ME AND I WILL GET YOU ONE. LUKE

Long way off but I've put it on my calendar. I don't think they've opened registration yet....as if I'd enter baby blue in a car show.

Euro Auto Festival Registration

Can you be more specific on the URL. I went to http://www.euroautofestival.com/registration.aspx and found this "New Registration Form Coming. Please check back in March. Thank You". I could not find a registration form.

Thanks, Dan....

Hi Dan, I put in the website and went to registration and got the same thing. I called and left Stephanie a message as to what was happening and hopefully I will hear from her monday. Keep checking with the site. I was emailed a pdf form which I had to fill out and download and mail in. I will see if I can get in another way? If I do I will email you. Luke

Yes we will meet at the BP Station just past the weigh station on I-85 Mount Holly exit turn right and its there. Probably should meet 6:30 and leave no later than 7. We should be in place by 8-8:30. Takes awhile to stage 500+ cars by make and model. The Minis should be right out in front by the Flags being the Marque. Please register if you haven't we sure would like to break the record set for most Marque Cars on display. Qestions or running late call me C 704 488 3331 Luke

Its for the car show saturday. Also can register for friday reception, saturday night dinner and sunday rally. Most ofus are just doing the car show its $30 pre reg and $40 day of show. I usually stay at the Marriott for the weekend but this year I am just doing the show due to other commitments. I have some reg forms if you have trouble downloading them. They are changing the web site and some have found it hard to find registrationl.

I want to go to the show regardless of anythng else. I think it would be cool to ride down and into the show with a caravan of MINIs. My MINI is definately not show-worthy though. Does my car have to be show quality or do we just want more MINIs there? I would at least like to drive down with you from Charlotte.

It really doesn't have to be nothing but a MINI as other people vote, most don't even take time to look at them all, they just put down the 1st number they see, or remember. I have been doing Car Shows for years and since 06 with my MINI. I have won alot but also have won nothing because of the politics and way the vote is done. I just enjoy the people and the other cars. See ya between 6:30 -7:00am. Luke

Stupid question, but others may want to know too.

Is there a charge for admission to just view?

There is no charge, but they will accept donations for the American Red Cross at the entrance. It would be great if we could get over 100 minis to register or show up for the show. I think MGs hold the record with 106 entries when they were the marque.

Missed the reg. deadline but still want to drive down with the MINIs on 10/17. What exit are you meeting at on I-85? I am in East Charlotte. Thanks

alternate meeting spot

I will be there. Was wondering, for those of us that live further South if maybe we could meet in the Gastonia area to avoid us driving North just to come back South again. They just opened a brand new Dunkin Donuts right off exit 17 (Hwy 321) that has plenty of parking and breakfast for those that want it. If that works for everyone, here are the directions:
Take exit 17 off of 85 and make a left off the exit, it will be about 1/4 mile up on the left.

Otherwise I can just meet you guys on the highway, not sure if I'm the only one down here that's going.

Thanks,
Mark
