Help with installing SWI-X

Can anyone help me?

I bought the SWI-X adapter and went to go install it and wouldn't you know it, I can't locate the white w/ red strip and yellow dots wire. I've looked at every single wire over and over coming from just behind the steering wheel and I swear it's not there. Anyone else have this problem? Is there another wire I can try?

I have a 2003 JCW S.

This is where I cut and spliced. Had to trim back some of the wire wrap. The bundle above the steering column plastic. You can just see the wire peeking out. 04 MCS.

Found it, thanks. One more problem now....I got it all hooked up and when I turn it on, the lights just keep flashing. I followed the instructions and whenever I turn it on it just keeps flashing. Any thoughts or do I have a bad unit?

Just make sure the key is off. Press and hold the program button on the swi-x and then turn the key to the on position.
You cut the red/yellow dot wire, correct? You can't splice it you have to cut it then hook the swi-x to the wire that is coming from the steering wheel.
Other than that it's pretty much straight forward.

Man do I feel bad. I didn't pay attention to my pic and suggested the wrong wire earlier.

Make sure you got this wire. The one that is pulled down.

No worries. I did find the right wire. It was the white/red stripe and yellow dots. So I know it's hooked up properly, just doesn't seem to be functioning properly.
