hey NAM im thinking about powdercoating or painting my factory wheels and would love to see what you guys/gals have done so far

a couple people around Columbus have some nice painted rims! I forget the gentlemans name who does the painting but his work is top notch

Pretty hard to match factory colors exactly. You would get a color that is "close" depending on powder product line. Also, most powder coaters will charge a little more (or a lot) for one run of colors. In other words, it's a better bargain if you use a color that they are baking already. No set-up change=savings to you. With that in mind it may be better for you to paint.
I've had two sets of oem wheels coated and love the results. If I were to do it all again I'd just paint them. I found a company that sells rattle cans of OEM paint for @ $27.00.

The powder coat will last longer due to better adhesion, harder but not brittle finish, and more chemical crosslinking of the resins than a 1 part or even 2 part coating system but it would be harder to do a color match.
