Replacement OEM Nav, plug and play or ?

I have a reman OEM NAV unit on way to replace mine in my 2003
S, which is going out. Is this a plug and play swap, or does it have to be programmed by dealer?

No programming that I know of - it should just be plug & play.

What went out?
