Drivetrain Video of 235hp R56 vs 385hp Cayman GT
Well it is a JCW so it is starting a lil higher than the S but most likely intake, turbo back exhaust, larger intercooler, probably piping, some suspension, and maybe a reflash. But that is impressive that at 235 hp you have a pretty fast car. Oh yeah it looked like it had some weight reduction I didn't see a a backseat it loked like a wall or something. http://translate.google.com/translat....php%3Fid%3D31

Not suprised seeing this video. The Mini is lighter, obviously it has KW Coilovers, front camber plates, and I am sure some more bits and pieces.
I know the Carrera 4S is a bit heavier and has a bit less power then the Cayman GT, but I had no problems pulling a couple cars on one on the highway the other day.

Come on guys, wake up and smell the coffee
A regular Cayman S with 303hp has the same time around the 'Ring' as a 227hp Megane R26R. A front wheel hot hatch that has rave reviews, has track compound tyres and weighs about the same as the R56.
Add another 82hp to a Cayman.....................
Sabine would not 'fluff' a start in a porsche, she's too good for that.
It looks staged to me

The Megane R26R actually weighs 100kg more than the mini
LOL the other 82bhp in the cayman is only going to do so much when you consider the massive torque differences!
Either you dont understand performance or you have a little cayman sitting in your driveway and you cant look it in the eye anymore ?

It may look staged to you but you spend most of your time on forums berating enthusiastic owners about whether or not they discussed their tuning parts and warranty with Mini
Hmm, they start with the JCW challenge car, so 235hp is even less far away.
Google understands German in a special way that I never would, even if I did study it. From the translation of the press release for the car:
at last!

Finally fired an adequate engine power dwarf.

If you really believe a mid engined 385hp car will 'just' beat a FWD 285hp car from a standing start you're in la la land.
Your looking at low 10s for a cayman to 100mph and there is no way a 235hp Mini is close to that, low 13's would be a good time.
My point about the Megane was more about it's the quickest FWD 'off the shelf' hatch around the 'ring'. It is slightly heavier than the Mini, but a little bigger and if you've driven a std. R26 then you'll know they're very very good..............just ugly
Enjoy your weekend.
What a surprise, it's you again

Yeah i noticed you and your bandwagon buddys dont use this forum much because here people actually discuss mods and experiences etc whereas your bandwagon-land forum is for people who put stickers on their car etc
Seems to me your the one in la la land mr 1500 quid jcw job...
As usual showing your complete ignorance and lack of knowledge about performance vehicles - you are comparing solely bhp figures, wow, so torque doesnt actually do anything in your world then ?
Obviously i hit a nerve, you must have a little standard cayman sitting in your drive, trading it in now ?My point is you have no clue
Enjoy your weekend release.

Coopman, I think you need to claim down. Japper makes a valid point, That a 385bhp Cayman would walk all over a 235bhp Cooper S. and I'm pretty sure that the Caymans torque will be more than the MINI's. A standard Cayman S has 270lb/ft.
Looks like it's for sale....
