Joey mod Astro Black opinion

Im stuck and need your opinion, I have a few choices:

1. Joey Mod current headlights

2. Purchase projector headlights, refit, and Joey Mod them

3. Don't Joey

Either way I would paint them Astro Black to match the rest of the car, but my main concern is that if I was to do the mod on my current headlights I would have the chrome around the bulbs still showing. However if I went down the projector path I would obviously have to source them, fit them to the car and hope it all works :p What do you think?

This is what my car looks like atm:

Here is an Astro Black mini with the earlier style headlights that has been joey modded. If this is your car I adore it:

The pic of the joey modded car is Konky's R53. I think the problem is that it's an image shack file, and those seem like they don't work for posting pics.

Anyway, I would do the Joey mod, at the very least you will save a few bucks and have the satisfaction of doing the work yourself.

Ok I finally got them up; and would you look at that it is Jet Black. Close enough haha. My car is going into an overhaul mode at the moment. Need to clean up the front end so the grills will probably be changing soon. Painted arches are in the drawing board too.

i like the look of the ebay lights. and theyre not as expensive so if you mess up, it wont be as big of a deal. also you can keep ur factory lights stock, and slap them back on if u ever trade in ur car.

but if u do paint your factory lights, whats wrong with a bit of chrome still showing? you seem to like chrome

Personally I like the chrome look on the all black MC. Not a big fan of the black on black look.

Yeah I'm a bit of the chrome fan, how can you tell? :p

Im leaning towards just joey modding my current ones, I have heard the Ebay lights are not the best in regards to light quality.

Thanks guys for the quick replies.

I think chrome really makes the black pop. Where as the black on black makes the car look kinda dull and bland.

im not hating on the chrome....while its not my thing..i appreciate everyone's independent tastes. i decided to go all black, and i get my "pop" from my red accents.

if you got the $$$, save up for some xenons. they are worth!
