Interior/Exterior I got mugged!
I got mugged!
No, no, no - I wasn't robbed or beaten, but thanks for your concern
I just walked in the door and was greeted by (yet another) package of goodies for my new Mini. This one contained 2 custom-engraved mugs that I ordered just a few days ago. Take a look at my pics online, I think they look SWEET!!

Brian at Northwest Laser Design took care of me BIG TIME! I was referred to him by another satisfied NAM member and placed my order with him on Monday. Today, Thursday, I have them in my car - w00t!! Talk about FAST service!! And the price was reasonable, too - $39 for the pair, delivered via USPS Priority.
I'm happy as can be, they look great and Brian's service was exemplary!

Nice mugs!
Hey, not to change the subject, but I noticed your mention of a seat tilt mod. I just did a quick search for it, but nothing turned up; can you please elaborate on that?
Thanks!

Sure, glad to. You simply loosen the back bolts (Torx 40, IIRC) 5 or 6 turns. Then, loosen one of the front bolts and remove the other. Slide a 3/8" - 1/2" spacer (I used a large nut) between the seat rail and the floor. Tighten down that bolt most of the way. Remove the other front bolt and slide a spacer in. Re-tighten all the bolts and you're done!
It tilts the seat back a few degrees, enough to provide better under-thigh support and put you in the bucket instead of on it...

Cameroon wondered:
"any concerns about that compromising the safety of the seat in an accident..."
Nope, no concerns. The seat is more comfortable for me now and that is my main concern. And, by not fidgeting in the seat all the time trying to find a comfortable position, I have actually INCREASED my safety factor, Your Honor

That's a popular mod for the Z3, as well. I did it to my own M Roadster, but I never thought about the same thing for my MINI seats. Now it's on my "to do" list; thanks!
