Not sure if I am a fan of the BMW badges. And the engineer in me doesnt like the connectors you used for the OCC (although they are certainly fine for the app and of course look nice). Otherwise though cool deal man, I like it.

Try to avoid using the flash and shoot in the sunlight when you can, it makes things look nicer.

Nice....looks awesome.

My OEM Intercooler is looking bit "used" up right now. Seems to be developing some sort of whitish film on it, and been getting lots of New England driving stone dings after adding the M7 Extreme bonnet scoop.

Gonna have to do something like this soon as well.

anybody need an IC sprayer??

i'm thinking about going with the M7 venom with the 440 injectors....

A nitrous sprayer for the DFIC would be cool, I have been playing with a few ideas... let us know how it goes...

BTW the car looks cool

Are you just referring to the fact that they are overkill in term of strength?

They certainly look good to me.

BTW, I know you said your car is dirty, but the dark stuff under the moter mount appears to be the hydraulic flud that is supposed to be on the inside of that mount. So, you might want to check that mount cause if it is bleeding, then it is time for a new one. This is a quick warranty fix if you are still covered, and an easy DIY if not. Also, if not in warranty you should consider the TSW aftermarket motor mount replacement, as well as their engine damper (which will limit engine movement and help save the next mount).

Nice mods, looks great, and will better when you can clean it.
Yes, I know it is winter.

No, no, no. They are perfectly fine for the app. It's just that those type of connectors have a reputation for not working all that well when they are used in a high stress, critical app (IE oil lines), hence you want to avoid them there. That is why you will never see those on the UCONN SAE car. But for an OCC they look nice and I wouldnt be against using them myself in the same role.

Although I dont specifically know who made those connectors so all my conjecture is of little consequence.

those are Russell lines and fittings.
I figured they looked nice and were better than the cheap rubber hose that came with the cc

Got it, thanks. And well the OCC is a very very low pressure application, so I would expect no issues from those connectors. I have seen many just use the cheap rubber hoses with no clamps or connectors at all.

One more thing on that motor mount 'blood'. It cleans up very well with Isopropyl (i.e. Rubbing) Alcohol.

Good Luck

Nice tip - I've been wondering what to use to clean up the goo from where my mount leaked, because so many of the solvents I usually use for similar stains (like 3M adhesive remover) don't play well with the non-clearcoated paint under the hood.
