Suspension New Megan Coilovers
New Megan Coilovers
Just installed my new Megan Coilovers have have to say I am very impressed with the quality and ride on these new coilovers. I will know more on the ride after I hit the NYS Thruway on Monday.
Thanks to AutoXCooper for the deal of a life time and Dan (MiniStupidFun) for the installation and new owner of my old Spax.
I will post some pictures after I clean the car up a bit.
Here is a picture of MSF doing the install and a difference between the Spax and Megans.

How did the front coil over/camber plate install? I saw one guy who had them installed and the dude had cut part of the bodies shock tower because it was in the way of getting the camber adjustment. It looked horrid. How much did it lower the car? Can't wait to hear about the ride quality.
I didn't cut my the towers and it looks like you can adjust without cutting.
I dropped it 1/4 inch from the bottom all the way around. The back is much lower then it was with the Spax and the front is close to where it was. Waiting to see how it settles and will adjust if needed.
Can't wait for my commute tomorrow.

I'm eager to see pics of your wheel gap. Please post some pics. I had thought about getting Megans but am leaning toward Eibach

the install was easy and requried no cutting. The coilovers looked really good and the ride was good as well. other then some busted knuckles there was no problem.,, ... and i got free coilovers out of the deal!!! woo thatnks jeff
I've ridden in an R50 with Megans and they were very nice. It can pull ridiculous G's in the corners (that's with sticky rubber and a rear sway, and probs more than that), but the comfort level was way better than my Koni's...
I will post some pictures later this week after I get the car washed.
As far as the drive to work today there was a big difference and everything felt great and I couldn't be happier.

nice! I am running the Megans as well have had them on for over 1.5 years and they are great! had them as low as possable but with the new wheels have had to raise the front about 1/4" there is no rake now which I think looks better
Can you post pictures of the integrated camber plate portion of the install. All the ones I've seen (in person) have cut the shock towers. How did you install and avoid cutting? Great to know BTW.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Fritz, I only cut mine because I knew I was going to adjust them. For you we could set them up first then bolt them on. They can be adjusted some without cutting.
Quick answer: You can go much lower on Coilovers than on TSW springs, yet you maintain a usable amount of suspension travel. There are other pros and cons of each setup, but it depends what you want to do with your car.
