Why doesn't MINI make an Alpine White?

My previous car was a Titanium Silver M3. All of the Bimmer forums worshipped the Alpine White as the best color! When I bought my mini I looked at a Pepper White, but chose..surprise..Pure Silver because Mini didn't make an Alpine White. Now that I have the Mini, everyone on forums says that the PW is the best color!!

So what is it that causes us all to second guess and want the "white"??

First, your car is beautiful! Bet it was expensive painting everything, 'eh? We just got an estimate for doing it but I didn't feel like it's a good time for spending the money on that right now.

I wondered the same thing. My 530i is Alpine White... and although I like the PW MINI... it's almost kind of "ranch dressing-ish" to me. My personal favorite is the creamy non metallic Chili Red, but when we were looking for the last of the new '08 Cabrios we couldn't find any. PW is growing on me as the second choice but if Alpine White had been available I think I would have had that one for sure.

I have a PW...If I could, I was get it in the new Night Fire Red or a custom Dark Silver with flakes.

I wonder how much a good paint job like that would cost...

Why no Alpine White for the MINI? The better to seperate the the two brands. While BMW is the parent company of MINI, they still want to differentiate the two brands. The color Alpine White screams BMW unlike other colors. BMW really likes to keep their "brands" seperate unlike say Toyota. Toyota claims their Scion brand is seperate from them, yet you buy TRD parts for it. Notice how there is no "M" series MINI. But getting back on topic, who knows, maybe one day they will have an Alpine White for the MINI. It's hard to say with BMW.

I agree. BMW will NEVER offer a Alpine White Mini. I can guarantee it. Its like Ford offering a Jag paint scheme for a Focus. Just wont happen. Its like....why is my Mini's color Indie Blue instead of Topaz Blue like my 3-series...
