Springs MINI service install time: 4 Hrs?

I am going to install lower linear springs in 2-3 months. The 2 Mini dealers where I live say 4-5 hours install time. Is this about right? TSW says 2 hours. Who can do a decent job and reasonable rate in the Vancouver, BC area? I am willing to drive up to Seattle if I have to.

If they're charging more than $250, they're charging too much. TSW is about right. 2-2.5 hours should be plenty of time to do the install and an alignment. When I talked to MINI of Nashville to do and install my old 03 MC, they quoted me $180 w/alignment. However, labor cost probably varies from dealer to dealer.

Grab a coil compressor and do it yourself ED955S! You can borrow mine if you want but there's better compressors out there. It'll make you check over all of your suspension/brakes while you're there too. The perfect time to do it all would be when your MINI's summer shoes go on, which would be in 2-3 months like you said.

Having done springs on my car, I can tell you that it can easily take 2 hours to do just the springs. Dealers will quote the book rate for any work and so will many mechanics. Find a decent mechanic that will bill you for the time they actually spend on the car and you'll be good to go.

A good alignment alone can take an hour. Getting the rear toe set correctly is a serious pita. Rush the job and the results will be mediocre.

How I really wish. My parents and 4 sisters live in LA & San Diego area and I am the only one living in Canada. Car shows, parts, mods, perf. shops, & racing events can all be had in California.

from a dealer 4 hours sounds right, 2 hours for the install and 2 hours for the KDS (the alignment mini use as its 4 wheel) and as others have said rear toe is a pita to get right
