This is a great car.

02/02 build MINI Cooper 5-speed.

Fast, fun and beautiful.

You don't hear enough of that in this forum.

no news is good news, i guess ...

Mine is a 5/02 build Cooper
with no problems so far - except
that I can't spend all day driving!

btw ... the cup holder is perfect for a can-o-soda
and that's all I need (good size for double-short
americano's, too)

My MC came with an add on cup holder which I like..............but it would have been no big deal if it only had the original cup holders.

Trippy if you can't say something negative don't say anything at all!

I find the cup holders do a nice job of holding change and cell phone etc. I actually knew how big they were before I bought the car. It would have been stupid to buy the car if the cup holders were going to be a constant dagger in my heart!

By the way, I still love my MINI! Even though everybody here tells me what a piece of cr*p it is. Tiki (my MINI) and I ignore them.

I never minded the cupholders anyway. In fact, this is the first vehicle I own that even HAS them. Yeah, so you cant drop a 44oz Big Gulp in there. So what? No one needs to drink that much soda. A bottle of soda fits nicely in the space between the seat and it's height adjuster. My cupholders are filled with all sorts of junk anyway.

As for reliability, the car has been fine so far. Not perfect, mind you, but the little stuff was taken care of. This place has me wondering when my car is gonna fall apart like the Bluesmobile when it got to the courthouse.

My girlfriend just received a complimentary MINI thermos cup in the mail. It came unexpectedly with a note basically "we know the cupholders are small, so here's a cup that will fit."

The coffee is brewing now... I have the pleasure of traveling four hours today to pick up my delightful daughter from college and four hour back... I will enjoy every minute of it, because I'm driving the Mini and I'm lovin' it!!!

Just want to amplify GreatBear's thought. It is not that the cupholders are too small. In this supersized society our beverages are just too big. Let the SUVs have the supersized cupholders. I thought Mini owners tended to be people more impressed with performance and not size. Mrs. Peel has performed well so far. My only complaint is I wasn't given a cupholder.
