New Exhaust

Hey, just ordered a new Magnaflow exhaust from Performance Peddler for my Cooper.
They gave me a great price, I couldn't resist.

Check em out.

Anyone else have the Magnaflow exhaust for there Cooper? How do you like it?

Had mine since early May and I really enjoy it.

Highs: Burbly, growly exhaust note at idle, almost like a purring large cat. Assertive but not obnoxious at full throttle, others will hear you coming, but not in a bad way. Lower pitched than the "ricer" systems. 4" tip looks neat IMHO.

Lows: Some droning at cruising speed. Doesn't look like a "real" muffler (mine has been called a "fart can", I call it the *** cannon). Louder than stock and may take some getting used to.

You dont know what drone is until you run a Cooper at highway speeds with no interior and no exhaust...

By drone, I meant a steady low pitched hum that the stock exhaust does not produce. You know, like a loud beehive.

For the winter now, I am driving a '93 Cherokee with nothing up to the catalytic converter. So I know what you mean, but it doesn't bother me at all.

You don't know droning until you drive a 12V Cummins with a turbo-back straight pipe... no cat... no muffler... just a 4" stainless steel tube...

Even with a muffler (straight thru glass-pack type), it ain't much better...

I love your car! Carbon fiber bonnet looks fantastic. So after your dyno, how much BHP does it have?

Got my Magnaflow in three days after ordering, it looks great and can't wait to put it on, but up here in northern Minnesota, its a little cold, plus she is all put away for the winter : ( It will have to wait until spring.

I recently just chopped my muffler off. So my Exhaust is [ Head > Obx Header > High flow Cat > Oem Resonator > Oem pipe till the first bend.] its Deafening, Fun, and Obnoxious. At the end of the video is was about 1.25 - 1.5 miles away.

here's the video.
