MINI5280 Meeting 1/13/09

Here is a request for meeting location in January. Given the following options which would you prefer?

a) Pints Pub - Downtown Denver
b) Ralph Schomp - Littleton
c) LeMay Auto Museum - Lakewood
d) Teena's Tower of Terror - Genoa
e) Under the 8th Street bridge by the tracks - Denver
f) Any where in Mexico by a beach.

So given the voting preference of our membership I will work on the selected meeting local. You should note that only option (a) allows for the purchase of food/beer (though you can bring what you want to (e)). Also note to meet at 7:00 PM at (d) we would need to leave Denver by 5:00 PM. Option (f) is only because I'm cold, but heck I'm game if you are.
The choice is yours so tell me what you want.

Wow! I didn't know the Tower was an option! Sorry anyway, but I have dinner plans with my CHL All-Stars that night!

Personally I'm leaning toward option (e) - under the 8th St via-dock. It would be different then any other place, a little chilly but the only disturbance would be the trains and some bums. Plus you can bring your own bottle.
Any one else have a preference?

I'm game with F. Our heavly priced dues of $27 should cover transportation costs right? Oh, and I want to ship the MINI down so I can actually drive it this winter so please let me know the additional cost and if we can rent paddle tires.

I might just caution you before voting (f) that bathing your MINI with bottled water can be pricey. You don't want to use the tap water in Mexico to wash your car - might cause your oil to start leaking.
Just something to consider before going with the southern option.
Also MINI5280 would cover the cost, however it would necessitate the increase of dues to approximately $3127/year or $7340/year if we ship the MINIs.
Again, I'm game if you are.

Having heard from many of you that $3127/year for dues is a little much, I'm forced to withdraw option (f) from consideration.

darn it! I was just reading this and was interested in a little beach time after all this cold weather!! I'm going to pass on "e" too -- it's much to cold to be hanging out under bridges!

I'm game for schomp -- I always love going to schomp to see the new stuff!

OK so (e) is out. I've got one vote for Ralph Schomp - anybody care to second?

Perhaps c if the Lemay Museum is open/free and has a room we could use?

Otherwise, Schomp is always good.

Due to an overwhelming response we will be at Pints Pub again for the January 13th meeting. See this thread for more info:
