I have a factory checkerboard roof decal on order for my 09 Pepper White S. The dealer said that it was the black squares only, not a full roof decal. Is this correct? I want the Pepper White as the background, not a bright white. Just curious. BTW, anyone have a pic of this combo? Thanks!!

 

When you ordered your car, did you choose a white roof or leave it the same as the body color? Have you taken delivery of the car yet?

 

I have the car now, the roof is body color. My third Mini!

the checkered roof is actually one of the favorite things about my MINI. that along with my checkered dash and JCW floor mats, now only to get the mirror covers.

My friends wanted me to get it in yellow so i looked like a taxi, that didn't fly so well.

And hey, time to get rid of those airbag warning stickers.

 

fingerprint smudges is what you get when your the only person with a car in a group of college students, one time i had just spent the whole day cleaning it and one of them had the nerve to leave starbucks bag/cup in my car i was rather upset.

good call about the air bag stickers, never notice them

 

You can either remove the stickers (and the gooey stuff under them), or cover them with some cool, checkered stickers.

 

i like the latter of the two, and where would someone such as my self go about procuring said stickers?

Great minds think alike. My new MINI (I pick up on Dec. 19) will have the checkered dash with red trim. Glad to know it will look awesome.

 

Does anyone know if you can buy and install a Checkered Dash DYI style? Can I order it from the parts dept or something and replace the stock at a later time??

Finally got to the dealer to have checkerboard roof installed. 2 hour drive to get there, 2 hours back in loaner. Drive back the next day to pick up car - Wrong roof graphics! Dealer installed vinyl for the old mini. I saw it was wrong from 100 feet away. They were very apologetic and professional, but what an annoyance. I now have another 3-4 hour round trip to pick up car. tedious......................
