Hella 500 install?

I recently ordered a 2009 Justacooper, and I was thinking about getting some Hella 500s instead of the OEM lights. What would I need to get to mount these in front of the grill?

I was thinking about this with brackets, but I'm not sure how much modification would be needed to fit the Hella 500s.

Does anyone have any tips for installing these on the R56? I've never really worked on a DIY on a car before, so any tips would be useful, thank you.

I've 4 Hella 500s on my R53, the white ones are BRIGHT

There's an R53 how to that can give you an idea of the difficulty level, it's a good first mod to tackle IMO if you've got a fellow experienced club member around and leave yourself a day to install so you're not rushed, and can be very deliberate in your steps.

I am going to the same on my clubby when I have a chance..... Look at http://www.vipcustomparts.com/index.htm, they have the complete kits and seems to me the best prices for them. I recently received my order and it looks really well done. Good luck

Have you had a chance to look through the instructions? How well-written are they?

I did, they don't look to bad. Especially if you have a little bit of patience and are a little mechanically inclined.
