I would call your local dealer and see who they would recomend. They may have a guy who can come to you and fix while you are at working! Here in Albuquerque it would cost less the $100.00! Hope this helps!

Buy a touch up kit from the dealer and a chip kit from Langka. That's what I always used on my Carbon Black M3.

racetripper! thanks, I ordered the langka chip kit. By the way the local body shops estimates were between $424-521. and it would take 3 days to complete. thanks for the information.

for the Langka Kit, still need touchup paint and the Langka Kit just makes it invisible.

I used the MINI Dealer's Mellow Yellow Kit and it was a perfect match, used the "Sealer" from Langka rather than the MINI's Clear Coat.

Now for the Black (roof), is it necessary to use "MINI" Black Touch Up Kit, or would any Black 'touch-up' be the same shade?

Always get the correct touchup paint. Blacks (and whites) are not created equal.

That was most likely for a repaint of the complete panel.

Go with either the Langka kit or an Auto Visuals pen. Auto Visuals is waaaaay cheaper if the dent isn't too bad. If the dent is really bad check into Dent Wizard (or another paintless dent repair service) and then touch up with the Langka or AV pen.

PDR's cannot do anything for chips. The Langka and OEM paint would cover it up.

Where on my MINI can I find the paint code for my black roof? I have an '08 Mellow Yellow. I can easily find touch-up pens for that, but I'm not sure what color I need for the roof. Some butthead must've set something on my roof because I suddenly have a pattern of five parallel scratch maks right above the driver door.

While we're on this topic, I have a few chips on my hood. The problem is that the CLEARCOAT was chipped off and the paint is exposed. There is no metal exposed. Will the Lanka chip kit work on the clearcoat itself? The damage was caused by the stupid city using GRAVEL instead of rock salt on the roads last winter!

I have a similar small rock chip on my black roof. I bought the Mini black touch-up paint at the dealer.

I want to order some of the Langka as well... do I need to go with the full kit for $39 or can I order the blob only for $19 for 2 oz? I thought I could just put the Mini clear coat on after I do the blob treatment and then call it a day.....

Do I really need the full kit at $39 or can I just buy the blob only for $19? ... not sure what the other items would buy me for my small chip...
