Check out my sweet rental.
Well I took my car in for its annual checkup and I asked for a rental so I wouldn't be stuck at the dealership for multiple hours. So for the hell of it, I figured I'd grab my camera and stands and do a little shooting. So prepare yourself for the awesomeness that is.... the Chevy HHR.
First I shot the entire car...

Then I busted out the Macro lens for a little workout. I actually really enjoy these. Well, some of these.

I realize that sarcasm is hard to express over the internet, so I feel like I should warn you that a lot that I said was sarcastic. I did however find some things that I enjoyed about the car during my 8 hrs of operation. I really enjoyed the space in the back, it made it easy to cart around my equipment. The tray in the back is extremely handy. I liked the gauge cluster as well (hence why I decided to grab a shot of it).
But I have to be honest, the styling is not my favorite. It seemed pretty underpowered as well.

They are some really nice shots!!
Not too keen on the subject but the shot are great.
What equipment did you use to light the shots of the side of the car (assuming it wasn't a fluke of nature that the light was that way...)?
Cheers

I try hard to not bash anyone's cars. But man, that is definitely one aesthetically challenged vehicle...

I had an HHR the last time I took my Mini in, and I thought it was quite competent. The interior plastics were quite hard, but HHRs are inexpensive so I didn't have an issue with that. The steering was better than most rental cars I've suffered through - not as tight as a Mini or a VW, but nowhere near as uncommunicative as the typical Malibu rental. Power and handling were acceptable, and I thought the styling was cool. I like it much better than a PT Cruiser, for instance (the woman at Avis referred to the HHR as a PT Cruiser, by the way!). Considering HHRs are being advertised at under $10,000 new I'd say they're a good buy, but I'm not sure about their reliability record.
