Alta intake installed PICTURES
We installed our new Atla intake today....going to finish up all the other tubes (all in red) this week. I love the sound and BOV noise/ Very happy with the results and install was a breeze...
Adam at Alta was easy to deal with....I met him at SEMA, nice guy.

Yes direct thru Alta...can't quote you a price because the Mini mod folder is at the shop. It was on sale when I bought it...around $250. Great upgrade.
ALTA CAI
Nice job. Just did the same mod this weekend. Did you remove the "sound generator". I left it in place, seem to make little difference. Also, looking to do the rest of the tubes in red. Do you know if this voids any or all of the

Caveat emptor.
First let me state that I don't know the Alta company and that I never had any dealings with them.
After reading this thread I visited the Alta website where I read claims of HP increases for their R56 catback, downpipe, intercooler and CAI totaling 51 wheel HP. The parts cost before freight and labor is $2,335.
I would suggest to anybody interested in Alta's (or any other HP enhancement company's) offerings to run a wheel dyno baseline of their car on a good eddy-current dynamometer, like the Dyno Dynamics, and repeat after the installation of the various parts.
In case the promised increases do not materialise one would be wise to have a buy-back agreement in place with the vendor who should refund the purchase cost and compensate for freight and installation expenses.

No only because I had 100 miles on the clock when we did the install....not even broken in. I break them in hard for the forst 200 miles but dont exceed 5K RPM...I will say it seems a little more responsive but can't say I feel it. Mostly because I have nothing to gauge it agains. It sounds great..
Yes I removed it for the sound of the BOV and to hear the turbo spool up. We have a TT Vette and it is no where as loud but sounds right for the car.

Search the forums you will find folks that did the before & after. We did them in our Vette and we gained 26 RWHP on our CAI. Alta is a reputable company that develops, tests and manufacturers their products.
Do you feel like you lost any lower end power...the claim is that as the engine idles, at take off, lower end power actually goes down a bit since the air is warmed up..but I don't see how you would lose power cuz the old intake would get the same warm air effect.
Most manufacturers will NOT void warrenty for a CAI or Exhaust system. If you have a problem they could charge you for damage due to aftermarket. But there is not much camage you can do wth a CAI....if there was an issue you shold get a code or check engine light.
It shouldn't void your entire warranty but if they can pinpoint the intake to be the cause of any issues you may have, then you'll be paying for the repair out of pocket. This is actually the only reason keeping me from getting my own alta intake
Well common sense says there is not much you can destroy using an aftermarket CAI....amything could happen but we have never thrown a code installing a CAI. If you do the install correctly there is not much that can go wrong.
Yep, if we don't keep on rehashing the same things, what do we have left to talk about
Oh yeah, I like my Alta intake just fine. I can't comment on any additional power gains, it's really all about hearing the turbo for me.
