Ripped off on a donut spare
Ripped off on a donut spare
I went from RF's to normal tires and decided I wanted a donut spare for long trips. Found a 4x100 for a Honda on Craigslist. Others had said it would fit, so I looked into it. I asked the seller for the inner diameter of the wheel so I could see if it would fit a MINI...he said it would fit no problem. Given the good price ($30), I figured I'd get it. Had the thing for way too long when I rotated my tires and decided to give it a fit check. Wouldn't you know it but it was dragging on the stock calipers. Crap.
Back to square one...Anyone know where I can get a donut that WILL fit and not have to pay $200?

RKW's point is, I believe, that wheels that fit the rear may not fit the front, but thats not a problem since the space saver should always be put on the rear anyways; if its your front that goes flat, rotate a good tire from the rear to replace the flat front, and put the space saver on the rear.
I've sent you a PM about your generous offer if Sin MINI passes on it..
