How many times have you created a MINI and re-created a MINI? Did you actually have to make a phone call to change the order, or was it pre-order? (greater weight given to post-order changes of course! )

Thanks to Jim at Mini-Mania, I was referred to Johnny's Custom Auto shop in San Pedro to drive his modded-out MINI just to see what it's like. I called Johnny and he was great, told me to come right up and drive it. Woo hoo!

He had EVERYthing done to it! Even Brembo brakes, so he's definitely up there in the 10k+ club! Maybe even the 20k club! That baby had PULL, even up a steep incline it accelerated like nobody's business!

It was the first time I saw a Black/Black MCS and it was cool... no, BOSS! Instead of a happy fun MINI like an EB/W, it was a GANGSTA' MINI from the HOOD!

I drooled.

I'd already been re-thinking my options so I could better afford mods, now I'm re-thinking my color scheme. I'd thought a MINI had to have contrasting roof and strpes to evoke the spirit of the classic MINI and maybe that's true, but maybe I want a TUFF MINI rather than a FUN MINI.

OH dear, Penny Lane's song may be ending... Gangster's Paradise may be beginning...

I just may be the Queen of order changing because my MINI is already here, I just haven't bought her yet. So I may be going from fully-loaded EB/W to:

Black on Black
H/K
Xenon
DSC

Am I crazy? Is it wrong of me to let Penny Lane sing for someone else? Am I a bad MINI mommy?

Why does everyone want to Mod so fast????

Cat, get your MINI, whatever color she may be... Drive her a good 5 - 10K
then consider Mods. Mini is best, right out of the box... and if there are any mechanical issues, you will have found them prior to possibly voiding the warranty.

 

don't worry MM, I definitely won't mod the first year. I just have to PLAN for them. People without a PLAN are people who lose money! So my plan is to make sure I can afford them by not spending a lot of money on non-essentials like an on-board computer that's way inaccurate!
