Unfortunately Roadshow BMW/MINI is 200 miles away in Memphis TN. I won't be able to pick it up till Monday but that's OK. I plan on driving home on the two lane backroads, ( I detest Interstate 40 these days). I'll post some pictures when I get it home and master uploading the pics. Hey congrats! Prepare yourself for the longest weekend of your life. I had to wait 'til a Monday to pick mine up and it drove me crazy.

I'm jealous you've got such a nice long drive home from the dealership. Enjoy!!

Iwannmini, very exciting!!! Are you hoping to sleep this weekend??? Sounds like you've got some great plans for immediate motoring...hope you enjoy it thoroughly!!! :smile:

 

And when you take delivery and make that drive home, be sure to walk over to the BMW side of Roadshow and swipe some complimentary cokes or bottled water from the mini-fridge for the quick 200 mile trip back home!

I sure remember my exciting drive back from Roadshow almost a year ago! Wow, has it been that long????

Glad to hear that your MINI has arrived. We saw the closed truck bringing the deliveries while picking up Li'l Bit from R/S earlier today. 200 miles is nothing - you ought to prevail on someone to pop you over tomorrow or Saturday! And call back to John Lloyd or Warren Hopper (MSM) and ask them to take a couple of pictures for you to "tide" you over if Monday it really is. If not, want us to take a couple?

 

Congrats you will enjoy the ride home, just think of it like this most folks have to find some roads to enjoy their first ride in their new car but you have 200 miles just to get it home. should be a whole lot of fun enjoy

Hi Bound4NW,

My son and I are attending the NHRA drag races in at Memphis Raceway Park on Sunday so I'm gonna just stay over till Monday and pick up my MINI. I appreciate the offer to take a couple of pictures. If you don't mind, I'd love to see them. It'll take me a while to figure out how to post pictures on this board anyway. My computer expertise isn't that good and I don't have a 12 year old kid to help me.
