R50/53 Installing newly purchased tail lamps
Installing newly purchased tail lamps
I have a 2003 R50 and I just got some new tail lamps (as shown in picture). How do I do it and is it hard? I haven't even looked at the lights so please forgive me, I'm a pretty experienced moder and a good handy man. I'm just wondering if its a pain in the @$$ before I start and if there's any known difficulties I should know about. Thank you for any input
Easy to take the lights out and replace.
I don't have a step-by-step, but open the access panel in the back and you will see everything. Just pull the plug and take the nuts off the old lights.
The lights will come off from the outside.
Very easy.

The only annoying part is that the threads on the bolt are extremely tight and it takes forever to get it off if you don't have a deep enough socket. Other than that, just take a look at the clips on the new lights so you'll know what to feel around for.
You'll probably want to remove the clip with the wires before doing anything else.
