Im gonna purchase the aero kit for my '06 mini S from the dealer i think, unless anyone knows where i could get it cheaper.

Its $1,125 from Irvine Mini. Does anyone know a trusted good body shop in the riverside/inland empire area who would be able to install and paint it.

Also does anyone know how much the install and paint cost around from a body shop?? Would it be cheaper to be done by the irvine mini dealer?

What should I do? Need some input.

You can find the aero kit anywhere from 500 (dealer cost) to 1150 (MSRP). At this point.....the good deals are stale but not impossible. Dont go to the dealer to get it painted. There are cheaper and better quality paint shops around. They sub-contract anyways. A great paint on the kit should be around 600 to 1000. M1 Autobody is in LA BUT they tend to only show vehicles or friends. Its a clique thing...

 

You might want to give "Classic mini" a ring. Ask for Jason, He took very good care of me on several purchases ! I bought a factory painted Aero kit from him last year ! I'm not sure if the factory kits are available anymore. There were also a limited amount of color choices when I bought mine.

A1 Autobody in Huntington Beach does good work, and has experience with the MINI aero kits.

 

I thought it was M1...doh...I cant remember...its been a long time....but I think they were in HB...

 

There may be an M1 as well, in fact I think there is, however I don't know them.

I do know the owner of A1 (Wayne) and he's a great guy. He works on all types of cars, but seems to do more European cars than anything else. He's been in H.B. for many years, doesn't advertise, yet has plenty of business from referrals only.
