LtRex just bought his MCS!

Forgive me if I sound a bit pumped up! I just got home with my MINI COOPER S !!!

My other post (Opinions - 04 Mini Base - Auto - etc) announced that I was about to purchase an 04 automatic. I went to look at that car today only to discover they just took in on trade an 06 MCS that was in pristine condition!

I got to looking at this 06 and discovered that if the owners manual was not in the car I was in trouble! It book is there, and I will need to look it through. This car has things on it that I was not expecting!

In all, I feel like I got a pretty good deal; next week I will feel where that put the screws, I am sure. That is the way it is I guess. In the mean time, WOW! What a fun car to drive!

Here are a couple LAME pictures in my garage (cause now that it is October it gets dark at 6:30PM). More to follow in the form of a Gallary when I get the car in the settings that are better suited.

I wonder if I can get the wife talked into the Dragon gathering in about 10 days............... Nah.............. Next year.

Congratulations, not hard to love an 06. Pure Silver/Black Roof, it appears. Any mods on the MINI?

If the owners manual is missing, ask at the dealership (if it is a MINI dealership), they might have one in some MAs desk.

Old81,

Seems to be as it rolled off the assembly line, but that is pretty frig'n awesome if you ask me! Now if my wife would stop criticizing me for my trips to and from the garage! What is wrong with her? Kinda alarming!

Has your wife driven it yet? Once she does, she will join you out there staring at it all day.

nabeshin,

I would frequently mention sightings of MC's to my wife and she would always respond by saying "I think those cars are so cute!" When I got home with it, I took her for a ride and she is hooked on it already having only sat in the passenger seat!

BlimeyCabrio,

I did not realize the Dragon was NEXT WEEKEND! I have been there three times on my bike, I would love to slay the Dragon in my Mini! I am gonna have to look into this!

In the fall, there are many smaller club groups that go to the Dragon - there are MINIs up there almost every weekend. Our club will probably have 50+ cars there next weekend (Oct 24-26)

Details here:

All are welcome!

OK, how many times have you gone to the garage just to look at the new MCS? Hmm? And how many times has it been waxed?

Very nice, congratulations!

DixonL2,

Good question, and the answer is several trips to the garage, one through the car wash (although just detailed by dealer) and then right back into the garage for a nice coat of MY wax. Then the first morning (today) my first two cups of coffee at 5AM were consumed as I strolled laps slowly around it.

I am not ashamed!

you SHOULD be ashamed! Only waxed it once? Hope that wasn't an automatic car wash...

Congratulations again... I just waxed mine again, and I've had it for years now... nothing to be ashamed of. Now find your local mini club and have some fun!

Oh no...it's begun early for him...and it's only going to get worse. I mean...next he'll be buying an intake, pulley, exhaust, headers, cam, head and god knows what?! What a shame...

Nice lookin car you got there!

DaveTinNy,

How weird is this, I just stumbled on your youtube video and watched it the night before I went to get my MCS! Small world (or internet).

I have done the Dragon several times on two wheels, I have to get down there next spring and do it on 4!
