I know I saw a thread about them and once found a site that sold them, but have been frustrated finding them again. Can anyone tell me where to buy magnetic bonnet stripes? Also, if anyone's used them do you recommend them to others? I know you need to be cautious of grit etc. lest they scratch the paint. Sorry to have to re-post a topic but...well, thanks for any guidance.

thanks for the reply but no big bubble to burst. Your link didn't work and possibly it is expired. What are the issues?

Thanks for the link, Bodinski. Yikes, I don't want to take any risks with my new baby. I have 5 coats of Zaino on, possibly a good cleaning of the magnets would take care of it bu, her, better safe than sorry. There are some non-magnetic clinging ones on the market (but harder to take on and off). I'll check into those. Thanks to all for the warnings!

I don't have a thread link to offer but I recall reading that people have had problems with the static cling stripes as well, as far as damaging the paint. You might want to do some searching about that, unless someone here has a link to offer. Might have been over on MINI2. I can't remember.

Ah Robyn!

I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank you for your generosity in getting me a set of eyes under Mrs. Peel's bonnet. Folks, Jerseygirl helps me remember that Mini owners tend to be cool people. It makes me all the more certain that Barbie should not be allowed to have one (see thread in MiniTalk), she should stick with the New Beetle, and a crass action suit against Mattell is warranted.

Again, thanks to all for cautions about these on and off stripes.
