so i just got my mini 2 weeks ago its a 08 cooper s does anyone know of any good shops in los angeles to get parts and is there any car meets in the valley ? how much power can a mini handle ? if i was to get the hks ssq bov do i need to tune the car? what are the best mods to start with?

im not thinking of track but i want to be able to be pretty fast i think of my mini as a project car and want to work on the motor so far this is what im thinking of doing to it ...
1. hks ssq bov
2. Borla Race Cat-Back Exhaust
3. DDMWorks R56 Race Intake System

i know its not much i havent really been able to look for parts yet and parts that are actually good... also im looking for a short shifter and ecu so if anyone has any good ideas or good experience with any leme know

Beware of CELs when you get too crazy. I got my fair share and had to back out some mods. PITA.

Also the BOV thread will give you some indications of the some potential issues. Exhaust depot mentioned that he may have worked out some CELs in that install. I do not have his product but he seems to be an interesting person.
