I can't believe Mini has no catalogs.

It's really a bummer that the actual Mini dealers that sell accessories for their cars do not have a catalog showing the accessories you can get dealer installed throught them. I would like information and pricing on a CD changer and a serious radio and have the dealer install them. I live 50 miles from my dealer and all I get are "ABOUT" pricing when calling and asking about things. If a catalog was available they would probably sell a lot more stuff.
I purchased a few items from NAM venders that sent me their catalogs. A Cover, A glovebox insert and a few other things.
Great service and pricing but they don't sell the CD changer or the stuff that the dealers need to reprogram the computer to use.

But that's a Good Thing....

Mini is an eco-conscious company. Rather than chopping down forests to print glossy catalogs which will eventually end up in a trash bin, Mini posts available accessories online. Very sensible, IMHO.

I got a 2008 accessories catalog, and I'm pretty sure Sirius was in there. I can check when I get home. The big problem with any dealer install is they're going to look through a book (if they even do that) to find the "Average install time" and then apply their hourly rate to the price of the item to give you an "About" price.

If its anything like my factory catalogue then it will never end up in the garbage, it will get flipped through over and over again until years of drool and changing seasons have turned it into dust that just blows away in the wind one day when its worn down to nothing.

was it a deal catalog???

Hi Wgrzanic;
The catalog you got have all of the genuine mini accessories or was it the catalog with the car models and what you can order from the factory when ordering a new car?
I'm talking about a nice accessory catalog like GM puts ot for the Corvette or Ford puts out for their Mustang models. A regular catalog with descriptions, pictures and pricing. The aftermarket does it why can't Mini?

if it's not, it's in the GARBAGE! Or at least that's where most peoples catalogues end up.

I think it's great that Mini is enviro conscious regarding catalog's

I believe most of the Mini websites list what you can get for your Mini. A few sites list prices:

Although I did not ask for or was offered an accessories catalog for my '08 MINI, I had a factory accessories book for my '06. So MINI does have a print catalog even if your dealer didn't offer you one.

MINIUSA publishes no less than 3 catalogs every year, and they should all be available at your dealer: the general car accesories "Youification" catalog, JCW accessories catalog, and MotoringGear catalog (MINI branded clothes and trinkets). You can probably also call 1-866-ASK-MINI to have them sent to you.

MotoringGear has its own website: http://www.motoringgear.com/
The website of every MINIUSA dealer has an accessory section for online sales. However the websites are not complete with all available items. Some (like Morristown MINI) offer discount from MSRP.

I got the catalog, and there was like a sales brochure catalog I think.
(I forget exactly). I left with about 3 little books.
That go into my "I bought a new car" folder, with stuff like
the original window sticker.

I put the folder in a safe place.

I still have all my CRX stuff, including the sales brochures and such

I guess it wouldn't be very cool to ppl that buy a new car every
couple of years.

I got my Clubman back in march, and at that time there were accessory catalogs readily available in the showroom. As I remember, a nice, big, glossy catalog. Maybe they're just temporarily unavailable.

Don't underestimate the power of the MINI online catalog. One night I found the Tuscan Beige leather handbrake grip and boot online. Since I was taking my car down to the dealer's shop for some warranty work the next day I didn't order online; I figured it would be easier to order the parts in person from the dealer's parts department.

I was wrong: it took the parts guy 10 minutes to find the right part number of just the grip and get it ordered. A few days later when just the grip arrived, it took me 2 minutes to locate the boot online and get it ordered. It arrived as fast as the grip did.

Beating a professional parts guy at his own game is what I call an efficient online catalog!
