newbie -- got a wheels/tire/spec question!!

I have a dilemma...

I ordered a set of 17" 4x100 Gram Lights T57RC for my '06 Mini Cooper. My problem is, does it fit? Do I have to drill or do any mods to the wheels to make it fit? I heard someone say about the "14mm/12mm" lugs. Don't quit know what that is...And also, what specs of tires should I mount the wheels to? 205/35/17? Any help would be really appreciated.

Also, what's a good springs/coilovers to buy?

I wouldn't recoment re-drilling the wheels - 57RC's wont take the 14mm hardware. I'd sugest TSW lug stud conversion kit from 14x1.25 to 12x1.5 - search the forum.

205/45 or 215/45 work best

Springs - H&R or Eibach

Coil-overs -HR springs offers 2 Street Performace or Club Sport

CoilOvers tend to lower farther, and they let you pick the height beining adjustable. By adjustable I meand when you install you can pick the drop @ each corner to allow that even dumped look.

After the heights are picked, and clearance is checked - you need to get it aligned.

Every time you change the height alignment is required - so its a set and leave deal - not continiously variable!
