Tinted and De-cromed

New tint all the way around and the rear sun roof, 35%.
Vinyl on the belt line and painted other areas.

Joey mod headlamps, complete your journey to the dark side

EDIT: Just noticed how outdated my profile picture is. Must update to show my own dechromed, tinted goodness.

I used Krylon Fusion Satin Black, came out quite nice. Used steel wool to scuff up the chrome a bit. Several coats later and reassembled. Few months later and it still looks ace.

Very nice! I'm starting pretty much the same mods. So far I've got my grill and belt line done. Next up are the headlights and boot handle.

The first headlight was the worst obviously since I was so worried about damaging the unit in the oven, and I forgot one of those hidden damned clips . Second one was a piece of cake, only took 20 minutes to open it up. I took my time painting however, lots of very thin coats for an even clean look with no globs. Light sanding between each one. Basically I'd dedicate a whole Saturday

i just tinted my windows all around last week. Did you notice that your windows roll up and down slower now? Or is it in my head?
