Try asking CarterMD for the build sheet over on this thread. The post count is only up to about 262 now. The carfax is on you though...

Maybe. But they have paid for the service for their personal use. Not to run reports for everyone on the internet.

If you can't afford a carfax report, you can't afford a car. Run it yourself.

 

Thanks for being such a kind person with your post. Heres the deal. I own the car. The dealer I bought it from closed down, and I havent gotten my tags or title. So I am trying to figure out who to sue, or how to go about doing this, and seeing as I am already going to have to spend some money on all of this ****, I figured saving a couple bucks would be helpful.

 

That's a bummer. That doesn't change the facts in regards to CARFAX's Terms of Service. I'm not sure how a Carfax report will help.

Maybe call your state Department of Transportation.

 

Take it straight to the DMV and get it worked out.

 

A "FREE" Car-fax report will DO NOTHING to help your present situation......and ANY dealer worth their salt will give you a FREE report upon asking on any vehicle selling on their lot.

As a poster here previously suggested, contact your DMV. Your car's new title is sent to your bank or financial institution, and your tags will be in your hands after you pay for them at the DMV.......Just bring your "purchase / sale" aggreement to your insurance agent, they will do the paperwork you need.

 

If I had unlimited access to Carfax I'd have helped the guy out. I thought that was the purpose of a "community". Not an unreasonable request. Plenty of dealers are willing to do it no questions asked.
