Header Question.

I want to buy a new set of headers for my 03 Mini Cooper S. I have most of the common bolt ons and an Invidia Ti cat-back exhaust. I dont want to pay a ton of money for headers and i was looking into the OBX setup. How durable are they and will they give me a quality sound? Also, do I need to buy a header with a cat on it? I live in Florida and my car doesnt have to pass emmission inspections but I would like to keep the warning lights off. From a purely performance and sound quality standpoint, will my car work well with this header with/without a cat?

first things first , always search there are tons of topics on headers.

secondly before you get flamed we only have header on mini's no headers, just remember that for future reference.

thirdly with out the cat it will turn raspy and you will sound like a honda civic, if thats your thing go for it, i just installed the jackson racing header i won on ebay and it removes that car, well im going tomorrow to have the stock one welded in the header. and yes the obx ones will give a "qaulity sound" if you put the cat in

fourthly, you will need the cat, from what ive gathered in research you can loose some poneys with out the car , maybe the mini needs a little backpressure i dont want to start a whole backpressure is good or bad fight just what ive read. and you will throw a code with out the cat in place. you can a spend $60 and get a bypass, unfortunatly there isnt enough room with the the header for the $4 dollar fix
