I knew there was a reason I've been dreaming about my car lately...today, I visited my brother's house in Tracy, CA and I parked my car in front of their neighbor's house. About an hour later, somebody knocks on the door and says "I hit somebody's bumper". Thank God it's just the bumper, but it still pains me to see my baby injured . I'll update with pics later, but basically the driver's side corner of the rear bumper is caved in about 2 inches. I'm guessing the whole bumper will have to be replaced along with the parking sensors.

 

I'm glad the person who hit you came clean. These days, it's more likely to be the victim of a hit and run.

On a lighter note, I like the ///Mini symbol in your sig. I played around with a similar idea, thinking it might look good incorporated into a stripe. I used all capital letters so that the bars and letters are all the same height. I never had it converted to vinyl because I decided not to put any more vinyl on the car.

Start looking for a new bumper here on NAM. Call around to dealers and see if they have any take off bumpers from individuals who put on an aero kit in the early years before it was a factory option. I did that and I actually found a dealer around the country who had a body shop who had hundreds of them. They ended up giving me a bumper because he said they were scheduled to go to the dump!
