USB cable in Clubman help! (And my review! :)

So I took my '08 MC to the dealer, and while it's there, I got a Clubman as a loaner. Looks like it has the Bluetooth/USB option, but for the life of me, I can't find the cable that my iPod plugs into! I'd really like to give this a try. Would appreciate if someone would help me locate it!! (I though it was in the secret compartment - no?)

And on that note (not really, but sorta), I got to compare the MC to the Clubman. Overall, the drive is very similar. I find the handling to be virtually the same. Driving it, you can feel that it's slightly larger and it could be just the loaner, but it feels a little more loosely built than the MC... hard to describe. I really like the extra room that it gives you, and for the virtually unnoticeable changes in the ride, I'd say it's definitely worth it. So would I get one? Probably not, only because I bought the Mini for its styling and fun factor... and I'm still not sold on the styling of the Clubman, but I'm sure it will grow on me.

Where were you plugging it in on your other car? Should be the same place as the front half of the cars are virtually identical.

I wasn't... I don't have that option in my MC

It is in the cubby under the center console, near the AUX input.

it should be right under the climate controls, it's tucked under there so you'll have to bend down to see it. You'll also need a special cable for the iPod.

Yeah the USB port isn't the same as the ipod adapter, you have to find the usb port and then plug your own ipod cable into it. I wasn't that enthusiastic about the styling of the clubman either until I saw the black and Red JCW clubman at the local dealership, very nice.

Love those cars!

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the AUX port. As mentioned above there is a special cable that you need to plug into both the AUX port and the USB port (which is covered by an evil little spring loaded door btw) on one end and then the dock port of the ipod. Might try checking the glove compartment, they probably didn't leave it in there but it couldn't hurt to check.
