Convertible owners - Charlotte area

Where are our Mini convertible owners in the charlotte region?

I'm building a lightweight rear seat delete for the convertible owners similar to the ones we build for the hardtop cars out of ABS Plastic. Need a volunteer to drop off their car for a day or two with me so I can design a tempate. Of course you get to keep the convertible rear seat delete afterwards as your consolation prize.

Shoot me a PM if interested. I'd need the car at least 24 hours maybe 48. Flexible on the dates.

Thanks,
Steve

(Sample of Hardtop version)

I have one of Steve's rear seat delete kits in my hard top and I love it. It pretty easy to install and you can always put your seats back in if need be. This would really make up for the lost luggage space. So if you could spare your convertible for him, you will have one (free)

hi steve. i had my husband send you an email that you can use my car after all. got to thinking about how hard it is to transport my boxer to the vet. this may be an answer, my name is norma and my husband, luke, is pres. of the mini club. i am on medical leave after surgery on my right arm. that is why i am typing with one hand. other than therapy, i am pretty much here. just let me know when you need it. thanks

Thanks Norma! I'll get in touch in a couple weeks to firm it up.

Congrats! To add to the reference, I have Steve's RSD in my car and have hauled hundreds of pounds of landscaping supplies, two large dogs and other cargo back there with no issues. Plus, the one I ordered has knockouts to put in a Schroth harness--now I just need Santa to bring the dang harness! ;-)

No problem. I am glad it came at a time that I am out of work so it was not so hard to get it to you and back.

Take care
