Is it possible to adjust the clutch engagement point

It is a little too high for me. Would like to lower it a little.

Is there a simple adjustment?

Not that I know of. As far as my knowledge goes, different clutches / flywheel combos produce different engagement points. Don't take my word for it though.

No adjustment, but it will lower as it wears... which is a bad thing.

On my 350Z you could adjust it... There's another thread here somewhere talking about but I think the answer was no...

Does anyone know if the Mini has a mechanically actuated clutch with a cable or is it hydraulically actuated. The former type is adjustable the later is usually not.

uh, that'd be the latter, like my Toyota PU's hydraulic clutch where one cannot adjust the EP

It's hydraulic, all the way and no adjustment.
