bigger sidewall?hmmm

I'm considering switching from 17/40/215 to a 17/45/215(take up a little wheel well gap).Did anyone make a similar move and regret the loss of cornering control.I'm going to move from khumo to the new Direzza's.I'd rather get beat to to hell by a stiff setup and have a 4x4 stance before losing handling by picking up sidewall roll!....so I may just stay at the 40's???Thanks for experiences shared.

Just a heads up....but the 45's will give you MORE of a 4x4 stance as they will raise the car up higher compared to the 40's. You will get rid of some wheel gap but your car will be higher off the ground like a 4x4.

What are you trying to achieve? Just reduce wheel gap? Sounds like you'd be happiest with the 40's from what you've said.
