I know it can be configured on the site, a regular MCS, AT, and the JCW tuning kit on the 2009. I have ben told it does not exist for the MCSa, but I can build it.

You can build it but you can't order it.

Just calling it like I see it - when your MA places the order the AT + JCW will not allow it to work.

Trust me I'm bummed about it because I was hoping that I could add this on in the future. Hopefully they will sort it all out.

 

I think I read some where that MINI was prepping for the release of a version for the AT. Although I think they promised it some where like 4-5 months ago and it still hasn't appeared?

 

Nope no JCW for automatic still - they did state that it was "coming" but so far no love. There are some older threads on here discussing it. In fact one of the regular posters has a JCW auto that slipped through the cracks.

The line they are giving is that the JCW + AT = failed emissions. I don't know about y'all but here in NH they look for a cat if your car is less than 20 years old and check for CELs. Inpection would be no issue!

 

it has to pass all 50 states emissions standards i believe. same problem that is holding back the diesel mini as well i suppose.

 

i called my MA on haveing it installed on mine and they said as of right now its an absoulte no go. if they see a mini with a JCW badge and an auto transmisson they have to report it to mini.
