Does it matter if we like it? It's your car and I hope you built it for you to enjoy, not us.

Hello Rix, I'd like more info about this blanket. I called K&N and they do not have anything like it. Do you have a part number, web link or any other details? Thanks Dustin

... then apparently it *does* matter. I was just trying to be a supportive forum member. If the opinions of random strangers means so much, I'll offer mine.

I don't like it.

There doesn't seem to be much cohesion to your mods. You add additional chrome trim to the headlights but then add blacked-out aftermarket projectors. Likewise you smoke the taillights and side repeaters but add chrome interior accents. I can see how adding contrast could be what you are after but I find it flashy.

There ya go. One more opinion for ya!

Also... every review I have read about those headlights says "good looking, terrible lighting". Not sure if thats the truth but I have no reason to empirically test it. Your choice of HID kit is not doing you any favors either. An 8000k HID kit puts you up into the obnoxius blue/purple quality of light, as well as significantly reducing the actual light output (in lumens) AND creating more glare/scatter to oncoming drivers, ESPECIALLY in adverse weather conditions. And that (except for qualifying the light as obnoxious) is fact, not opinion.

Hehe well thats fine, thats your opinion. Well the theme could be black and chrome trim? and well if you saw my HID kit, you might think otherwise as it is niether blue nor purple, and in your head that might tell that it's a 6000 kit. But it aint.
Still i cant see why you even bather writing when all you have to say is negative.. but it's easy to be cocky, when you havent applied any pictures of your own car?

really? you sure? they look like s-lites to me.

here's a crown spoke:

notice the cap that covers the lugs and it also comes with r56's.

and here's an s-lite:

notice the lugs are not covered and this goes with r53's or r50's (which is what you have)

and yes, i AM a wise ***, but i did my homework, did you?

link to wheel faq on MINI2

to euro's it's an s-spoke, to some it's the LeMans, to others it's an s-lite and to many it's the s-heavy . in any case, it's certainly no crownspoke. i hope the dealer didn't charge you too much for them.

enjoy your cooper

You wanted opinions, you got em. You didn't ask for only good opinions and I'm not one of the types that holds back on the honesty. But really.... Who the F cares what I think? Apparently you do, because you asked for public comment.

You might find this hard to believe, but I rarely post anything negative on here. I try to lend years of wrenching experience to those who need it. There are three ways you could take my statements. A)You could say "you're a negative person and you shouldn't bother posting." B)You could say "I never thought of it that way. However I like it and that's good enough for me." or C)"I never thought of it that way; maybe I'll make some changes". I was hoping to elicit a "B" reaction from you. Take pride in your work because it matters more to you than the rest of us combined!!

I haven't posted pictures of my car in a while because it's *my* car so I don't really care what you think. I care what I think, and I love it. However since you (apparently) want to see it, here ya go.

A couple days ago... dirty.

Now clean!

And the insides? Yeah, I'm rockin the one-seat-mod... but I only drive on the left side of the car!

well after thinking about i must admit you're right, and again it doesnt mean that much to me, tho it's always nice that people like your work. The reason why i seem to like these threads is because they often seem to give people ideas on how to make new mods for their own cars.

Any way i like yours alot, i actually wanted mine in that color originally.

As the saying goes, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Some people don't like my chrome, some do. But who cares haha, I like it and it looks great at dusk against the city lights.

So what is next on the list of mods Rix?
