WOW something I never thought I would find

Well this is the first time I have washed the car since it has only been a week and it got a little dirty. When I was washing the wheel wells I noticed the inside is outdoor carpet. That is crazy it is pretty neat but wonder how bad it will collect the dirt after awhile. :-) This car is quirky but I love it.

This helps deaden the road noise. Other car makers use this similar stuff, as I have seen on my last few Audi's. Works pretty well on them.

Seriously what models, I had a 2006 A3 and still have a 2004 allroad and neither have it.

01 A8 had a similar material and 05 A8. Surprised you don't have it on the 04 allroad at least. Perhaps they put a different material there since you have some offroad capability?

That is what I figured it was for either that or my insulation was falling out, hahaha

Substantial acoustic benefits aside, the felt liner actually seems to appear cleaner over time than the plastic liner. I hit mine (but not too much) w/ the high-pressure wand at the coin-op (works well enough), but a friend uses an appropriately sized brush to get the dust out...and I think that is the key to really cleaning it.

I used to have to get all in there to clean the plastic wheel wells on my R50 which were pretty easily mucked up....R56's seem to be more presentable with less effort. Just another tiny tidbit to love about R56.
