Official: Before and After Picture Thread

Lets start an official before and after picture thread. Post up pics of your MINI before and after modifications... let the pictures begin!

This is "Trixie" Before and After. We did all the work ourselves and it took place over a 5 month period. Notice the seasonal change in the background of some of the pictures . We think she looks way better in her new dress with 6800 miles on her. She debuted at her first Autocross event last weekend in her new dress... many more to come

Yeah, what is this?! One of those infomercials where the model in the 'after' picture is smiling and has good posture but in the 'before' she's looking forlorn and slouching?

Nothing's really changed with the car, has it?

...and the hair is messed up.

Perhaps the Texas Speedworks sticker refers to some performance mods.

I like the stripe, but the plate blocking air-flow to the intercooler would worry me.

Thank you ! and nnoooo you dont have to spend a lot of money to personalize your car and make it look , sound, and perform the way you want. Not to mention you save so much money doing things yourself. My husband and I have had a great time learning as we go too!

How did you guys do the straight-ahead marker at the top of the steering wheel rim? Looks good, but I wonder if the front plate will hinder performace!

Are miniusa paying you for putting their URL on the front of your car or are you an employee?

Is the carbon fiber hood scoop actually more "open" than the original one, or is that just an optical illusion?

"How did you guys do the straight-ahead marker at the top of the steering wheel rim?"

that is acctually just vinyl wrapped around.

"but I wonder if the front plate will hinder performace!"

we've modified the intake and exhaust which according to the butt dyno offsets any negative impact of the front plate.

"Howd u put the red accents on the dash after maket?? Spray paint?? "

Search for threads we started because we made a thread about the "DIY color line" . It is acctually a spray dye made by Dupilcolor.

"Are miniusa paying you for putting their URL on the front of your car or are you an employee?"

Acctually we support Miniusa.com regardless of whether they pay me or not. We like the way it looks and I don't see the difference in putting a sticker on my car or wearing a MINI t-shirt or sporting any other MINI inspired product.

"like the color scheme just not a fan of all the ad stickers unless you are sponsored"

I've acctually never said if I was sponsored or not. See the previous response for elaboration.

"Is the carbon fiber hood scoop actually more "open" than the original one, or is that just an optical illusion?"

It is just a stock chrome hood scoop that is sanded and painted flat black. It does create an illusion of it being larger.

OK .. well this was supposed to be a thread for everyone. Does anyone else have Before/After pics? .. yes... no ... maybe?

FYI everyone that was worried. We did remove the front plate from the lower intercooler grill. Here is another shot from yesterday ...
