Nasty- all this rain has gotten it dirty VERY quick.

All done!

Final shot outside.

Got home and did the V1 & Garmin Hardwire.

Interior shots to come.

BTW- my exhaust, for some reason, looks like the tips are bigger than the previous build minis... AFAIK sport package doesn't give you a different exhaust.. But from all the MINI's i've seen previous to getting mine, I always thought the stock exhaust was really small and oogly tips (

but mine seem to be bigger for some reason??? picture 23, they dont seem to 'close up' at the tip as much as seen in the other picture.... is it just me??

what about other R56's? I got one of the last '08 builds, so i wonder if they changed anything? And, also, my secret compartment is back, as some people were talking about them gluing shut some later production r56's

I noticed the same on other R56 as well. at my work parking lot someone (different company) has a R53 and I can definitely tell the tips on the r56 is much larger.

my feb production r56 also had the secret compartment as well.

Those pictures are fantastic of your new MCS

Next mod should be a Clear Bra to protect the front end from possible stone chips.

Oh I hear you on that modding can be expensive I know!!

Regarding the Clear Bra I got mine done from a vendor who also does work for the local dealerships for half the price.

You can check for local installers in your area from this website that I saw recently in the banner ads here on NAM:

nope, just aligning the tint to make sure the computerized cutout fit. Everything fit perfectly, cept for the back window- the computer didn't have the rear brakelights cut out, so they had to do that by hand (which is why they check all the tint on the outside of the windows first before peeling off the sticky layer and applying it on. They do a fantastic job and have been around since '83-

Above the glove box

initially R56's came with them then there was a lot of problems with the plastic rattling a lot, so MINI glued them shut, but now they are working again... great for navis/radars to store if you are in an area that you need to remove it. also fits cd cases if you still use em.

I'll be more than happy to do a similar intro/photo gallery after mine arrives in a few weeks . I'm still having a hard time finding really high quality PW/PW pics with sport stripes. I'll make sure that the next PW/PW owner doesn't

Thank you

Its been raining constantly, with on and off thunderstorms here since I've picked up the car. I cannot wait to drive it in the sun. though I had to drive through almost flooded highways yesterday as the rain was ccoming down so hard, and even tho everyone was hydroplaning (including me), the mini kept on hauling forward and did not feel like it was losing control. It did well, and im proud.

Its hard coming away from driving a quattro, as if you've ever driven one, those are the gods of all wheel drive.
though, i learned to drive in the winter on a RWD so =p
