Black Wheels for a laser blue MCS?

I am in the process of ordering a set of track wheels and tires for my 07 laser blue MCS with chrome mirrors and a black top. I am currently leaning towards a set of 5Zigen black wheels, but am having a hard time making up my mind. So, below are some pics of my car currently and the wheels that I am looking at. I can't decide whether the black wheels will look good with the chrome mirrors, or if I should just get chrome wheels.

I don't know why this is such a hard decision..... but thanks for the help!

If you are looking for a set of track wheels shouldn't you be most concerned with weight, offset etc and not looks as they are only going to be on there for short periods of time.

Now if it was regular use I'd say go black NOT CHROME as you have black stripes and roof. Maybe even consider changing your mirror caps to black or even going for a complete black out/ de chrome?

20Works, you are absolutely correct! I have selected these wheels based on those requirements. They are 17x7 with 42 offset and weigh 15.5 pounds. They are going to be mated with Falken Azenis 615 215x40/17.

These wheels are made in both black and chrome so there is no real performance/handling choice. Simply asthetics. Sounds like your vote would be for the black wheels. Thanks.

I love my black wheels and you will too! The chrome mirror will accent the other chrome accents but the black wheels will look good with the black stripes and black roof IMO...

I got them from Discount Tire locally. I saw them online in a couple of places but the Discount near me had the best price on them. They are 5Zigen Fn01r-c Hv. They are 17x7 with Falken Azenis 615 rubber. I bought them for track wheels. If you are not planning on tracking your car, you might be able to find something a little less expensive (I paid $186 a piece). But they are pretty light and have a good offset.

Thanks for the info, do they have the correct centerbore or do I need rings?

They are like most aftermarket rims and required hub centric rings. They came with plastic rings and so far have been just fine. Also, if you have an R56 make sure they bore the lugs holes out to 14MM's. It seems most of the rims are bored for the R53 diameter of 12MM.

The wheelgap means that he still has suspension travel. Therefore the suspension will operate normally, as designed, when hitting a bump.

...and why would he want any of that? Suspension travel is highly over-rated. And those German designers --phhht. What do they know, huh?
I say lower that sucker so it no longer looks like a 4x4.

I have a set of Royal Black Rota wheels that I adore. They have a silver polished rim with a gloss black center and spokes. The silver lip helps define the wheel and keeps it from getting "lost" (at least to my eye) on the body work by virtue of being so dark with the tire. I think they would look good with chrome mirrors too.
