6 disk changer

Did anyone out there opt for the six disk changer? That is one option I have not heard of anyone ordering. When I asked my MA it even stumped him as well.

If you did, what are your impressions of it

Not many people I know use CDs anymore. I mean I haven't bought one in years, most I use them for now is burning a mix for someone else.

All of my music is on my Nano. All I really needed was the AUX input. I still have some CDs I play that I burned mixes on, but I only need the standard CD player for that.

'Sides, I wouldn't want to give up my secret compartment.

IPOD is the better option, and maybe cheaper!

I believe the cost is $750. For that much, you can get the $500 bluetooth/iPod package and then go buy a 8 GB iPod Nano, and still have $50 left over, have space for way more music, and the bluetooth feature is extra. I don't know why anyone would spend the cash on the CD changer unless don't own a computer and cannot use an iPod.

Since the standard CD player will play mp3 CDs, why bother? The car's acoustic environment isn't good enough -- even if you upgrade to a great system -- to tell the difference between a commercial AIFF encoding and a high bit rate mp3. You can get about twice as much music on one mp3 CD as you will find on 5 AIFF CDs.

This is the reason that no one has one.

Nope I did not get the 6 disc CD changer.Like what was already mentioned the standard CD player plays mp3 CD's.I actually use my SanDisk Sansa mp3 player connected to the standard auxiliary input.Plus I can also add/delete songs whenever I want too when hooked up my comp and no waiting on CD burning needed.

As a side note I probably have about 40 burned mp3 CD's when I had my 2006 Mustang GT which had a standard 6 disc CD capacity in the radio also that year didn't have the standard auxiliary input until 2007.Now I don't even use those as they just sit and collect dust on the shelf.
