I stopped off to see Jim at Rogue Motorsports today and saw a model he is making for cowl scoops and he says it's for someone here on NAM. Who is holding out us? I didn't know he was working on some new parts for us, I was just hoping to get on his list for having some things wrapped in carbon. I'm not trying to blow the surprise but I was excited so see some new parts and they look cool and he says they will be carbon.
We need to get this guy as a NAM vendor.

Don't know what's up with the link, but I just got some pics emailed to me. He says these are just the models and need finishing but the parts will be similar in shape. Also the drivers side is bigger for extra air to the intake. I'll keep checking back for updates.
Not sure about the asymmetrical sizing. I think you might as well make they both large instead of one smaller than the other.
I questioned this when I first saw the parts in person, but after looking at it I began to really like the idea because it makes it obvious that they have a purpose. It will help when he has them on a car so we can get a clear idea.
I would actually just want the driver side scoop. because with the air intake blocked off from the engine bay (well not anymore) its just sucking most of he air from the cowl area. i think with the scoop it couldnt hurt the temp.

if you were really getting them to serve an actual purpose, then why would you get the passenger side at all and not just the driver side. These probably will have little effect on performance and are going to be a "looks" thing, so i think they should be the same size.
I've had a few asking about progress on the cowl scoops, so just wanted to post some shots of the first "working prototype". This is the drivers side (obviously) and I still need to finish up the passenger side. Since this part is being sent out for testing, and the main concern is fit and function there are a few little things in finish that were overlooked, and I chose to do it in 4x4 carbon just to be different.
I hope to get some more shots after installed.
