I am getting really tired of waiting. The car was released to the trucking co. on 8/20 and was scheduled to arrive at the dealership on 8/23. Now, mind you, it's all of a 3 1/2 hour drive. The dealership doesn't accept deliveries on Saturday so you would think it would be there first thing this a.m. NOT!! I've schedule tomorrow afternoon off so I can go get it if it's ready but I can always change my schedule.

Is anybody else still waiting?

Still waiting here as well. It seems the processing centers are running a little slower than usual. It was released to trucking today. Should be at the dealership by this afternoon. It's only 15 minutes from here.

I think mine is at the dealer. I sopke with my MA this morning and he said that 3 trucks of minis are there. My EDD changed last night from 08/26 to 08/25. My mini was delayed also from leaving the distribution center. Keep your chin up, it is on its way! I know how you feel, I just went through it too. (just hope that your trucker drives fast!)

 

Mine didn't make it this past weekend but should be picking her up this Friday for a nice long weekend of motoring.

 

MINIUSA says it's at the dealer. Hopefully I will have it Thursday. Sooo close!

At least I know it's not in a ditch somewhere. I had a dream the other night that Rick, the MINI manager called and said my car had been damaged in transit but they had put a special cover on it that would remove most of the damage and make it look almost as good as new. I was hollering that I had paid for a new car and I wanted a NEW car. I went to see it and the bonnet was all crushed in and they had that white plastic covering on it.

Creepy dream.

Guess I won't be taking off tomorrow to take delivery. At best, it might arrive sometime tomorrow. Hubby is working a double Wednesday and the next full day we can both have is Friday. I want us to take delivery together so I guess that will be it. Darn distributor.

GOT THE CALL!!!! I couldn't believe it. I got home last night and it was on my machine! I called my husband at work and he asked if I had been to see it yet. That started me thinking so I hopped in the car and drove the 20 minutes to the dealership. There sat Monty in all his glory. He is sooooooo handsome! They had only gotten a few others in so I was really pleased to see him.

We're going to pick him up this afternoon between 1 and 2 and plan on motoring well into the evening. Whoopeeeeeeee!

Congrats. Funny you should tell that story. When the MINI's arrived here in SC I called the prep manager and asked him if I could come see the car before it went to the dealership. His first words were "Yours isn't red is it?" I said, no why do you ask? He said a red one came in and it looked like someone had beat it with a hammer and the car would most likely have to be scrapped and reordered.

Glad yours came in safely and is at the dealership.

OMG! I had someone else's nightmare!!!

I think if that had happened to my MINI I would ask for my deposit back, call around and find one close to what I wanted in the U.S. , and then fly there and get it. I know I couldn't go through the whole waiting around process again. What a heartbreaker. Maybe it was a dealer's new demo.

I got the call, I got the call!!! Finally my car is here. My MA has already driven it. She filled it up with gas! I pick her up Thursday morning. The car not the girl! :smile:

 

Hi Teldon - 1 o'clock this afternoon!!!!!!!! I am counting the minutes. Everybody is my office and laughing and giving me 5 minute updates. Right now it's 35 minutes until I leave - and counting.

Have you picked up yours? How's it feel? I'm starting to get all quaky (I know it's not a word but it does describe the feeling) inside.
